Montenegro

Hurrah! Back to the coast and back to warmer weather. We made it out of Tirane (capital of Albania and home to Europe’s craziest drivers) in one piece and drove to Pzar in Montenegro, ending the day with a walk on the beach to wind down.

We discovered (and possibly trespassed in) the luxurious looking resort of Aman Sveti Stefan. This resort comprises a former royal residence and an entire island – it looks amazing!

The next day we took a wrong turning on the way to Herceg Novi (navigation let the side down) so we ended up taking the long route through the mountains.

Luckily for navigation (me), this turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the scenery was fabulous and we would have been sorry to miss it.

After a night in the lovely old town of Herceg Novi we returned to Dubrovnik, dropped off the rental car and were reunited with momo.

On our 15 day trip we drove 2,200 km and visited 7 countries (Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania and Montenegro). After a day of rest we were ready to continue our travels with momo so we started her up and drove straight back to Montenegro, through Albania and down to Greece!
